Can I earn CMTEs for being a part of MT Mentor?
Yes! If you are a board-certified music therapist, you can now access 25 CBMT pre-approved asynchronous CMTEs FREE with your membership. Simply complete the course series webinars as listed on your dashboard and fill out the course evaluation linked below the course series when finished. These qualify under “Approved Provider Opportunities” in the “Workshops/Courses/Conferences/Independent Learning” category.
In addition, you can earn 1 CMTE for every 50-minute peer supervision group that you attend and 1 CMTE for every 50-minute content video or book club that you complete.
Peer Supervision CMTE Request:
- Write a summary (250 words minimum) for each quarter of groups you attend, connecting your learning with the CBMT Board Certification Domains. Note that potential domains are included in the weekly peer supervision group emails and the form you will complete in step #2 for your reference.
- Complete this form to request a certificate for proof of attendance each quarter.
Content Video/Book Club CMTE Request:
- Write a summary (250 words minimum) for each content unit or book club series you complete, connecting your learning with the CBMT Board Certification Domains. Note that potential domains and objectives are included on each content unit and book club webpage for your reference.
- Complete this form to request a certificate for proof of completion.

Are you a student member completing your internship and hoping to become a professional member?
Know that you are welcome to continue paying your student rate for as long as it is helpful for you! When you feel financially able to contribute more, options include transitioning to a special reduced professional membership rate and/or paying it forward by sponsoring another student or intern!
